Starting Small…
Well, here’s to yet another fall-winter season. Recently I have been looking at my hotel magazines and been having that desire again to build my hotel. I have so many things I want to do I don’t really know how to get there. We are almost out of debt (minus Becky’s school debt of course) and we can start to look at saving for emergencies, vacations, upgrades and investments.
The first investment that I want to make (besides into our financial future) is in my hotel. The one that I currently manage. I figure if I can start small right now, I can work up into larger investments like the hotel I want to build someday.
Now I have never invested before so I know my knowledge and naivety will have to be put to the test, however I know that I can and will make a difference with what ever I am able to do… I want to make updates and upgrades at the hotel that will steal the show. The things that people want. The phrase, “You have to spend money to make money” is where we are at.
Our customer service rocks, it really is the best in the area as confirmed by reviews. Our location is perfect. Just off the highway, but far enough away that you can’t hear it from the hotel. Just two blocks from great food, summer events like the Tualatin Farmer’s Market and Concerts on the Commons. We have a great relationship with the business community and are competitive in our rates. But most of all, it’s the customer service.
It’s not all about the money… But things sure do get done when you have it…
All of that to say I am keeping the desire and spark to keep the ball rolling…
